Now that the holiday season is almost completely over, you might be receiving one of our Christmas cards. My address book is kind of hit-or-miss, so if you don't get one, don't be sad, you didn't miss much. Here is our Christmas letter and picture:
Christmas is now past and I’ve been waiting for clever writing inspiration to strike so I could complete these holiday cards. Alas, it has not, so you are stuck with this sorry excuse for an update.
Needless to say, we’ve been busy. The past few months have been kind of a blur of back problems (Andy), morning sickness (me), and drywall dust (we’ve been remodeling our house for the last year). So, it may be sad to admit, but we’re not sad to see 2007 go.
In reflection it has been a year of extremes. A year of extreme joys and fun. We did actually do some really fun things including travel with trips to Thailand, DC, and 116 National Park sites. We’re elated of course with the joy of a new baby on the way. And the opposite extreme of some fairly intense physical labor, exertion, and pain. But you don’t want to hear about that and honestly we don’t want to think about it anymore. The good news is that the new year looks promising and we are delighted to think our house might actually get finished and that we also might actually finally become parents.

We are truly in awe at how blessed we’ve been over the entire course of our lives, but certainly during the past year, even during or maybe even especially during the difficult times we’ve truly seen the hand of the Lord in our lives as we’ve grown as individuals and as a family. We hope you will have a blessed new year and experience joy and prosperity in 2008.
Love, The Howells
